Giving

We give as an extension of our faith!

What we believe about giving in relationship to church members.

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. –1 Timothy 6:17-18 NLT

Four Groups of People in Church

1. Community

2. Crowd

3. Committed

4. Core

Tithing and living a generous life are key principles that separate you from the community, the crowd and even the committed.

It takes FAITH to give God your FIRST.

“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house…”  Mal. 3:8-10 NKJV

How Much to Give?
Tithe: the first 10% of your income

Where to Give?
The Storehouse: where you are spiritually fed (the local church)

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts… –Malachi 3:10-11 NKJV
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. –Psalm 37:25 NIV

We can do more with 90% and God than 100% by ourselves.

And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. –Acts 2:44-47 NLT
Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. –Matthew 6:19-21 NLT

As a member of the local church, we give our tithe to God through the church to continue the work of the Gospel through the church. We give offerings (additional contributions) as gifts to God separate from the tithe.

Heart OF HOUSE

Helping those in need.

The Heart of the House Initiative is our expression of love through missions outreach and disaster relief efforts. We make several mission trips per year and support missionaries all around the globe. When disaster happens, we respond by sending teams, items and other forms of support, restoring homes, communities and lives. One hundred percent of all contributions are given directly toward these efforts.
